- It was a low scoring day in the Challenge which at least softens the blow for those lower in the table.
- That lower half is also where all the blanks for the day came from unfortunately. Colin and Scott were unable to break their deadlock as both Philadelphia's Alec Bohm and San Francisco's Mike Yastrzemski went hitless respectively.
- After getting top scores in his first two selections, it was a blank for Washington's Joey Meneses as Ed's pick against the Orioles.
- A third hitless Halo in a row was in the cards for Ryan via Matt Thaiss. The Los Angeles first baseman could not collect any of his team's 10 hits in a loss to the Guardians.
- Gamesmanship is afoot as both our top two scorers in the Pick One Challenge went with the same player. Both Buddy and Pavli got a single from New York's Eduardo Escobar and kept the margin between one another at 17 total bases.
- Minnesota beat Kansas City once again to keep their slim playoff hopes alive in the AL Central. In that one Matt got a single from AL batting leader Luis Arraez before he left with a hamstring injury before the second inning began.
- That leaves us with a three-way tie for first between three men who finished on two total bases for the day. The AL East reigned atop the daily leaderboard with a pair of Orioles and a Yankee in the mix. Lenny's pick Giancarlo Stanton doubled in New York's win over the Red Sox. Baltimore's Jesus Aguilar (Nate) and Austin Hays (Al) singled twice and doubled once respectively in Baltimore's victory over the Nationals.
- Optimally, only Ed or Matt could have earned eight total bases from Philadelphia's JT Realmuto. The Phillies catcher homered in consecutive innings in a 6-1 win over the Marlins.
