- Florida may be the armpit of America, but on this day it was the epicenter of scoring in the Pick One Challenge.
- Two players were double-selected on the day. The first was Minnesota's Jose Miranda making his Pick One debut. That bow was one to forget for Pavli and Scott as the Twins first basemen left five on base in a blank as his club lost to the Rangers.
- Tony Kemp's dual picking went slightly better for Al and Colin. Kemp's Athletics also lost, but at least he singled in the effort.
- The final three games of the night all ended in shutouts. Ryan's pick Chris Taylor not only saw his Dodgers get shut out by the Brewers, but also in the Pick One with a three strikeout blank against Eric Lauer and company.
- Buddy went for home run heroics with Chicago's Luis Robert. The slugger may not have went yard but he did have one of his team's two doubles in an otherwise messy night against the Royals.
- There is no connection between Alec Bohm and Florida which may not be the worst thing. However, Lenny's pick was very three-centric with three singles from the third baseman for a share of daily third place honors.
- Completing that bronze medal pair was Matt's pick JJ Bleday. He drove in Miami's third and final run of the game with a double in the third before adding another single in the seventh inning against Oakland.
- Also bringing home a run for the Marlins was Nate's selection Charles Leblanc. The only man in Miami's starting lineup hitting over .300 hit his second home run of the season off of A's starter Adam Oller.
- But our top scorer of the day came from the other Florida team, the Rays. Randy Arozarena singled in the first inning against LA yet his reason for being in the top spot was his fifth inning home run that would ultimately win the game for Tampa Bay and earn Ed five crucial total bases.
- Optimally, Nick Castellanos' six total bases (one double, one home run) was enough to be the best score as well as produce the necessary offense for Philadelphia to beat Cincinnati and remain firmly as the NL's second wild card.
