- Not everybody got pulled into the AL Central doubleheader vortex, but nobody picked a game by their lonesome.
- Last Man In duties fell to the San Francisco Giants and we had assignees from both steps of the provision. Matt got a single from Mike Yastrzemski on the second step but unfortunately Nate blanked with Joey Bart on the first.
- There were a large number of suspect ERA pitchers in play for Oakland and Texas, but the duo of Al and Lenny leaned into the former. Each man was rewarded by the eventual losers of the 10-8 bloodletting in Texas as Al got a single from Stephen Piscotty and Lenny got a pair of 'em from Vimael Machin.
- It was feast or famine on the South Side as the White Sox were doubled up by the Guardians. Colin would have gladly taken half of Ryan's total bases on the day though as his selection, Gavin Sheets, blanked while Ryan's, Yoan Moncada, homered.
- All three men that backed the Tigers in the doubleheader came away with two total bases. Scott got a pair of singles from their top prospect Riley Greene in Game 1. Buddy and Ed had to wait until Game 2 before Javier Baez got them on the board with a first inning double.
- But our top scorer was the only person from that contingent that went the Kansas City way. Pavli got six total hits from Royals rookie Bobby Witt Jr., five singles and a double, in the sweep. His seven total bases tied him with teammate Vinnie Pasquantino as the best possible score of the day as well.
