- There was not one but two doubleheaders to lure our participants in on the day and seven of the ten took the bait.
- It was equally frustrating for those twin bill backers whose selection came from the AL Central. Both of the Tigers selections, Javier Baez by Colin and Spencer Torkelson by Scott, blanked. Jose Ramirez whiffed on the Home Run Hero chip for a second consecutive month, this time coming up empty for Nate.
- However, Ryan was able to bring a bit of sunshine to the gloomy division by going out of the doubleheader space with a home run from Minnesota's Carlos Correa.
- The other two players who strayed away from the two game batters didn't fare as well. Corey Seager (Al) and Alec Bohm (Pavli) faced off with one another in a pitcher's duel that didn't have any runs scored until the tenth inning. The duo combined to go 0-for-9.
- Our lone San Diego Padres selector went with the club's most selected player thus far, Eric Hosmer. Joseph put the Padres first baseman at the halfway point to picking out and lifted himself into third place overall with a single and a double in the split with the Guardians.
- Matt extended his lead with the first of two Pirates players taken on the day, Bryan Reynolds. The All-Star singled in the opening loss to the Tigers before doubling twice to earn a doubleheader split and put our overall leader on 69 (NICE) total bases for the season.
- But for the second time in nine days, Buddy and Lenny tied for the top score this time with Pirates slugger Dan Vogelbach. It wasn't looking great after a fairly tame game one which saw him blank. But in Pittsburgh's victory in the latter affair, he doubled and homered driving in three of his club's seven runs and netting our daily winners 6 total bases.
- Optimally, the Reds are providing a launching pad for players at the moment and the latest was Milwaukee's Rowdy Tellez. Tellez knocked in 8 of the Brewers' 18 runs against Cincinnati falling a triple short of the cycle (two home runs in there) finishing 4-for-6 with 11 total bases.
