- After Friday's rainapalooza, there were three doubleheaders on the day. All of them saw usage with Toronto being the only team in any of the three games sans selection. Eight of the ten participants chose from the doubleheaders.
- Regrettably, the two that chose against following the doubleheader herd both blanked on the day. Last Man In Cal Raleigh came up empty for Ryan while Brandon Belt pulled a Taylor Ward from the day prior for Scott, walking three times to minimize his hit opportunities.
- The Reds were able to get a split from the Pirates, upping their win total for the year to a whopping 4, but Al and Colin were not able to up their base hit total as Tommy Pham blanked in both legs striking out in half of his at-bats.
- On the other side of that coin, after not being able to pick him the day before due to the rainout, Nate's sticktoitiveness with Pittsburgh's Bryan Reynolds paid dividends with some cycle bread in the night cap for five total bases.
- Jose Ramirez has now flopped as the Home Run Hero three times after Pavli's Break Glass List leadoff man couldn't put one in the bleachers in either of his two opportunities against Toronto. In a glass half full type of outlook though, he at least gained ground on Matt as Ramirez's three total bases bested his teammate Andres Gimenez's two while playing two.
- Hopefully after his lengthy hitting run this isn't the beginning of a descent in the opposite direction after Chicago's Patrick Wisdom made it two straight blanks against the Dodgers.
- As for those Dodgers, their duo of selections combined for the most production from one team on the day. That is a bit misleading given that Trea Turner only had a pair of singles for Lenny but...
- Our top scorer Mookie Betts shouldered the rest of the load with a triple shy of the cycle over two games against the Cubs. Buddy got his first solo top score of the season from the Dodgers' star whose seven total bases gave him sole possession of second place.
- In terms of optimization, Brandon Drury, one of only two Reds regulars hitting above .270, made the most of his two game set with 11 total bases in the split with Pittsburgh including three doubles and a home run.
