- The doubleheader crop was bountiful once again with three bites of the apple available to our participants. All but three partook in the proceedings.
- For the second straight day, Scott and Ryan's unwillingness to comb through two different boxscores produced less than stellar results. Willy Adames and Last Man In Nick Madrigal each went 0-for-3 in their clubs' respective losses.
- While it was all 2's for the Yankees on their final scores, it was all 1's in the Pick One. Joseph and Nate got their single from Aaron Judge in the Game 1 win over the Rangers. Colin's single from Anthony Rizzo came in the same game. However, that hit feels a bit hollow as Rizzo was Colin's Home Run Hero for the month making it now 0-for-2 with the provision for the AL's home run leader.
- The 2's in the Pick One belonged to Andrew Benintendi. Kansas City's leading hitter raked a pair of singles in their Game 1 win over Baltimore but couldn't get any more for the combo of Al and Lenny with an 0-fer in Game 2.
- But making this one of the shortest recaps thus far is a three-way tie for the top score between the Challenge's current top three scorers. Matt got his three total bases from Kyle Schwarber's three singles while Buddy did it with one less hit from one of Matt's Mets, Francisco Lindor. Pavli got up nice and early for his three hits from Rafael Devers in the 11:35 AM Mother's Day Pink Sox game.
- Optimally, Pete Alonso more than made up for a rough afternoon at the plate in Game 1 against the Phillies with a single and two home runs to propel the Mets to victory in the second half of the twin bill.
