- It was the epitome of the Gennaro Gattuso classic line "Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit" in the Challenge on the day as half the field scored and half blanked.
- For the second time in three days though, there wasn't a home run to be had by any of the selections.
- Lenny's recent struggles continued with Tampa Bay's Manny Margot. The tenth Rays pick in this young season left seven on base in his hitless effort, a total that nearly matched the rest of his teammates combined.
- The only player to take down two participants on the day was St. Louis' Tommy Edman. Matt and Pavli had to watch idly by as not only did the Cardinals lose to the league-worst Reds, but the leadoff man's only ball out of the infield was directly at an opposing outfielder.
- Miami passed Atlanta in the standings with their win, but their leadoff man Jazz Chisholm Jr. was ineffective as well netting Scott a goose egg.
- There wasn't much offense to go around on Sunday Night Baseball as the Brewers beat the Phillies 1-0. Milwaukee only had three hits in victory, but unfortunately for Colin none of those came from Rowdy Tellez.
- In that contact-light affair there was a score to be had from Ryan. He moved himself two total bases closer to getting out of the Challenge basement with a double from Phillies catcher JT Realmuto.
- Buddy broke a two-day drought with Seiya Suzuki who doubled in Chicago's loss to Pittsburgh. Suzuki is the third player to make it to the halfway point in the picked out process (5 selections out of 10), but he is the first to do so without being picked multiple times in a day.
- Mike Trout didn't draw any of the Angels' ridiculous nine walks against Baltimore, but did hit a pair of singles to keep Nate moving upward in the Pick One table.
- We now have a tie for first place overall again as Brandon Crawford's double against the Nationals but Joseph level on total bases with Matt.
- But our top score of the day went to the better of two Crawfords, Al's pick JP Crawford. The Seattle shortstop hit the first two legs of the cycle in the Mariners 12-inning victory over the Royals with his sixth inning double momentarily giving his side the lead.
- Optimally, Joc Pederson was your best possible scorer with 10 total bases against Washington. The Giants slugger scored three runs on three hits with two of those being home runs and the third being a double.
