- Streaks of both the good and bad variety came to an end on this day.
- One thing that one can only hope doesn't become another streak is a visit from BLANK. Joseph met our resident bearer of bad news after not having an eligible member of the Mariners to be assigned.
- However, Matt did have one and still ended up with the same score as Joseph. An All-Star starter a year ago, Adam Frazier saw his average fall to .223 after his latest blank in a loss to the Orioles.
- Bringing to a close the hitless portion of the recap was Ryan with Los Angeles' Will Smith. He was far from fresh in his club's shutout loss to the Rockies, going 0-for-3 to end Ryan's two week long run.
- For the second time in three days, Buddy and Pavli mind-melded to take the same player. And just like Harrison Bader, Kris Bryant got the pair of them a single in his return from the injured list.
- The end of Ryan's streak allowed Colin to sneak back into eighth place with a double from Adolis Garcia in Texas' decisive win over the Royals.
- They weren't to the extent of Al's run of woe, but both Scott and Nate ended multiple-day blank streaks themselves with Shohei Ohtani (1 single) and Alejandro Kirk (1 double) respectively.
- Speaking of Al, he may be finding a way to get a Christmas card to Dylan Carlson's household this winter after the Cardinals center fielder had himself some cycle meat in his club's 9-0 win over the Marlins. This broke a six day blank streak and kept Al out of the ignominious portion of the Pick One record books. Matching Carlson's double and triple was Lenny's pick Luis Garcia. The Nationals youngster's single and two doubles made for a stellar Pick One debut.
- Optimally, the Cardinals could have provided more joy than just Al's with two separate options. Both Paul Goldschmidt and Juan Yepez earned eight total bases against Miami with Goldschmidt getting there with a triple shy of the cycle (2 singles, 1 double, 1 home run) while Yepez "boringly" just homered twice.
