- Three teams began their offseason as the Blue Jays, Rays, and Cardinals were swept out of the Wild Card round by the Mariners, Guardians, and Phillies respectively.
- Tampa Bay lost in 15 innings to Cleveland 1-0. Buddy's pick Ji-Man Choi only got through 10 of those innings. He South Korean slugger was pinch ran for in that inning after drawing a walk, but sadly with no hits.
- A lot of things went wrong for Toronto as they blew an 8-1 lead to eventually fall to Seattle 10-9. But worse for Colin and Lenny, they saw their pick George Springer go down in a heap after an outfield collision in the eighth inning. He left the game without a hit and the game tied only to see Seattle complete the turnaround from the dugout.
- Opposition players Jarred Kelenic (Ryan) and Matt Chapman (Scott) both drove in runs via sacrifice flies in the Seattle/Toronto affair. However, only Chapman was able to collect an actual hit in the game, a 7th inning single.
- Nick Castellanos and the Phillies shut out the Cardinals to advance but Castellanos was easily the quietest hitter of the evening for the Fightin' Phils shutting out Nate on the Pick One scoreboard.
- Our second double pick of the day was St. Louis' Lars Nootbaar. The Cardinals leadoff man, and selection of Ed and Matt, did just that leading off the game for his side with a single. He was stranded on second base after an error and never would make it past second base finding himself similarly stranded after a walk in the eighth.
- The Mets and Padres will be the only Wild Card series going to a deciding third game at Citi Field. In Game 2, Pavli's pick Ha-Seong Kim struck out twice in a blanking effort as the Padres fell 7-3.
- But our top scorer was Al's pick Brandon Nimmo. The second straight Mets top score of the postseason, Nimmo singled thrice in the win for his third top score of 2022.
- Optimally, for the third time in just over a week the optimal scorer was Toronto's Teoscar Hernandez. He homered twice in a losing effort for eight total bases, a potential that over half of our field never got the opportunity to utilize.
