- Seven people stepped up to the buffet serving a Marlins/Rangers doubleheader with both teams not in line for a postseason berth.
- All three that went outside those parameters all went with Los Angeles selections. Ryan and Scott were underwhelmed by the Angels contingent as Taylor Ward and Luis Rengifo blanked for their respective backers against the Guardians. Justin Turner got a single and scored twice for Nate as the Dodgers shut out the D'Backs.
- Every single person who selected either a Texas or Miami player scored. With that being said, there had to be a "low man" of that group. Texas' Leody Taveras was that man in this case. After not getting a pinch hit in Game 1, Taveras singled in Game 2 to prevent Al from registering his fourth consecutive blank.
- Each team had a representative at the two total base party. Pavli's pick Nate Lowe got there with a pair of singles while Ed's selection Garrett Cooper did so with a double. Cooper's pick had a bit extra behind it as well though as with it each non-playoff team has had at least one selection from every participant in the 2022 season.
- Miami's Brian Anderson and Texas' Corey Seager got to four total bases in different fashions as well. Buddy handed Anderson his 2022 debut and got four singles equally spread between the two contests. Matt's charge Seager had a hitless Game 1 win before homering in a Game 2 loss.
- Colin went with Texas' recently called up top prospect Josh Jung. Like Seager he had a rough go of it in Game 1 sneaking a double through a trio of overwhelmed strikeouts. Just like Seager though he homered in Game 2 to finish on 6 total bases for the twin bill.
- But our top, and optimal, scorer of the day was the man who added that little bit extra to his Game 2 production, Texas' Marcus Semien. Lenny got nine total bases from the Rangers second baseman over the two games. He singled in the Game 1 win before coming a double shy of the cycle in Game 2. Only Matt and Pavli have him left at their disposal.
