- The penultimate game before the All-Star Break brought bases to all except the backers of one team.
- That team unfortunately for Al and Buddy was the Chicago Cubs. Between Nico Hoerner and Willson Contreras, the duo brought as many total bases to the dance as the Cubs themselves brought wins in the doubleheader against the Mets.
- Before we get to those Mets, let's deal with the doubleheader strays. Both Colin and Ryan chose to work outside of the two game set with Seattle's JP Crawford and St. Louis' Tyler O'Neill. Neither man left empty-handed as O'Neill singled in a rout of the Reds and Crawford added a double to his single as the Mariners pushed their winning streak to 13 games.
- Two players from New York were double selected on the afternoon. Jeff McNeil got the pair of Nate and Pavli a solitary single each. Pete Alonso got Lenny and Scott a double over the two games. Regrettably for Lenny though was the fact that Alonso failed to trigger the Home Run Hero bonus for the second time this season.
- Ed's pick Francisco Lindor was the only selection from the doubleheader to get a hit in both games, singling in each.
- That leaves Matt to take home the top score with Eduardo Escobar. Just like Adam Duvall the day prior, Escobar came a triple shy of the cycle in Game 2 against the Cubs after blanking in Game 1 thusly finishing with seven total bases.
- Optimally, several players hit two home runs in their respective contests. But only one man added onto those long balls, New York's MVP candidate Aaron Judge. His first inning single in the Yankees' humiliation of the Red Sox provided him his ninth total base for the day and the final margin in terms of best possible score.
