- Because everybody likes to start their day off with fractions, 2/5 of the field went away from the Seattle/Washington doubleheader yet 2/3 of the daily medal stand came from that twin bill.
- As always we try to rip the band-aid off with the bad news, the worst of it being Colin's third straight blank straying from doubleheaders. This time it was Oakland's Sean Murphy being the bearer of bad news. After putting up two touchdowns on Texas the day prior, Oakland only had four hits against the Rangers on this day, none coming from Colin's selection.
- Matt and Ryan's selections faced off with one another. Matt's pick Brandon Marsh saw his Angels succinctly best Ryan's pick Yulieski Gurriel and the Astros, but the duo tied in the Challenge with a single apiece.
- The best of the outliers was Nate's pick Giancarlo Stanton. The Yankees slugger broke Nate's four day blank streak in dramatic fashion with a game-tying eighth inning home run in New York's eventual win over the Reds.
- Seattle's JP Crawford had twice as many hits over the two games with the Nationals as teammate Eugenio Suarez did. However, much to Scott's dismay both of those hits were singles while Al and Pavli can rejoice in Suarez's lone ball in play left the yard.
- Dismay is also what Lenny felt after there was only a pinch hit opportunity for Washington's Yadiel Hernandez in Game 2, which ended in a tame groundout, after blanking in Game 1.
- Nelson Cruz wasn't able to his lofty career home run total in welcoming his old team Seattle. Nevertheless, he still got Buddy three total bases with a double in Game 1 and a single in Game 2.
- Someone who did add to their home run totals though was the day's top scorer Juan Soto. Tied with Toronto's Teoscar Hernandez for the optimal score as well, Soto earned Ed eight total bases with a pair of what unfortunately proved to be consolation ninth inning home runs in each of the two games against the Mariners. Just like Jose Ramirez from the day prior, only Matt has Soto left at their disposal.
