- The shine of the doubleheader has surely come off as only two of the day's ten picks came from Texas and Cleveland's twin bill.
- One of that pair was Al's pick Jose Ramirez. April's AL Player of the Month couldn't get anything across in two games against a pair of Texas starters with ERA's over 5.00.
- Last Man In luck is also seemingly waning as well as Joseph and Nate saw San Francisco's Curt Casali strike out twice in two at-bats before being pinch hit for.
- National League East sluggers Kyle Schwarber (Colin) and Marcell Ozuna (Matt) saw their batting averages dip further and further after their blanks against the Brewers and Athletics respectively.
- Ryan continued to walk through broken glass everywhere this time with LA's Mookie Betts. He didn't earn our current basement resident a fourth straight top score but was able to keep his hitting streak at that amount with a single in a loss to the White Sox.
- Breaking out of a Diamondbacks funk was as easy as going against them for Scott. Kyle Farmer hit a single and a double for the Reds as they hung two touchdowns (with requisite extra points) on Arizona.
- Lenny and Pavli went with Willson Contreras and Amed Rosario respectively to the same total in vastly different fashions. Chicago's slugging catcher hit his 10th of the season in the Cubs loss to Baltimore. It was Lenny's second straight day with a home run in the Challenge. Pavli's pick got to the same total with four singles over Cleveland's aforementioned doubleheader, a split with Texas where the winning club won 6-3 in each game.
- But our top scorer once again let the Home Run Hero flag fly on a Break Glass special as Buddy lucked his way into Arizona's Christian Walker. The Diamondbacks' leading home run hitter triggered the June Home Run Hero with a fourth inning shot off Mike Minor before rounding things out with a ninth inning double to make it an even 10 on the day. (Editor's Note: This was originally an oversight from me. Buddy had sent me an updated Break Glass List on June 3rd that did not save on my Drive prompting the original Last Man In designation. If you come across anything that looks off in scoring, especially with this catch-up period, do not hesitate to bring it up to me.)
- It could have been a seismic shift in the standings had any of the nine participants eligible to take Marcus Semien done so. The prized offseason acquisition set a new standard with 16 total bases over the two games with the Guardians, two singles and a home run in a Game 1 loss before hitting two singles and two dingers in the Game 2 win.
