- Production came from some unlikely sources, but Cubs/Cardinals didn't disappoint on the diamond or in the Pick One Challenge.
- We nearly had our second "All Hits" day of the season had Joseph made a selection. Even if he had either Austin Barnes or Gavin Lux eligible as the Last Man In neither man got a hit.
- Colin keeps getting hits as his hitting streak in the Pick One trucked along once again to 11 days after a pair of singles from Cincinnati's Tyler Stephenson.
- Our most popular pick of the day was St. Louis first baseman Paul Goldschmidt. He got Al, Pavli, and Nate on the board with a single in the Game 2 extra innings win. However, that wasn't the best news for Nate as Goldy was the second man in June who failed to trigger the Home Run Hero bonus.
- Nolan Arenado was the other Cardinals All-Star taken on the afternoon as Buddy maintained the gap between first and second place with a Game 2 single as well.
- The top four scores of the day all escalated by one total base apiece starting with Scott's pick Ian Happ. The Cubs outfielder singled in Chicago's Game 1 win before doubling twice in their nightcap defeat for five total bases.
- German-born Brendan Donovan was handed his Pick One debut by Lenny and rewarded him with a pair of singles and doubles for six total bases in St. Louis' split.
- Another rookie took his Pick One bow with aplomb as Matt got seven total bases from Chicago's Christopher Morel. He racked up five hits over the twin bill, three singles and two doubles.
- But our top scorer of the day was Ryan with his second straight Break Glass List pick, Washington's Juan Soto. Soto knocked in four of the Nationals' 10 runs against Cincinnati with a pair of home runs and eight total bases.
- Finishing moments ago (Barcelona time) was our daily optimal scorer Pete Alonso. He added a single to his two long balls as the Mets upended the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
