- Mother Nature was a bit of a fly in the ointment for our participants on the day as six games got rained out forcing several changes in selections over the course of the afternoon.
- One that wasn't altered was the Last Man In CJ Abrams. After breaking his cold spell with the provision a few days ago, Ryan was back in blank with a rough night at the dish from San Diego's top prospect.
- Arizona's Merrill Kelly brought Colorado's high octane offense back down to first gear as he allowed seven hits over 8 2/3 innings with none of them coming from Charlie Blackmon (Joseph) or Randal Grichuk (Colin). Blackmon's blank ended Joseph's hitting streak at 13 days.
- Los Angeles drew six walks against the suspect Nationals staff with three of them coming from Pavli's pick Taylor Ward. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get a hit in his one official at-bat of the afternoon.
- One of their five hits though did come from Buddy's pick Jared Walsh. It was Walsh's first selection this season after nearly being picked out last year.
- Both Matt and Nate were forced into different directions after rainouts and both landed on Minnesota's Max Kepler. They got some yelling at clouds to do after the German outfielder went 0-for-4 with a couple of ugly strikeouts.
- Al's pivot ended with the only MLB player that's ever liked one of these recaps on Twitter, Arizona's Ketel Marte. His second inning double extended his personal hitting streak to six games after going six without a hit.
- It was the first triple of the Challenge for Lenny as Tommy Edman legged out a three-bagger in St. Louis' win over the Giants.
- But for the second straight day, Scott took home top score this time with Byron Buxton. Buxton became the fifth man thus far to earn top score twice with his fifth inning shot against the A's that proved to be the game winner.
- Eugenio Suarez made it another day where two home runs was enough to bring home the optimal bacon yet his Mariners still fell short against Tampa Bay.
