- It was a rich get richer kind of day in the Pick One as all three blanks came from the bottom quarter of the leaderboard.
- The Last Man In wasn't kind to Ryan as Arizona's Geraldo Perdomo as he couldn't do anything in his two at-bats against the Dodgers before being pinch hit for.
- Lenny's barren run has hit four days after Alex Verdugo went hitless as the Red Sox lost to the Blue Jays.
- As a team the Milwaukee Brewers have only produced three singles from nine total selections all year. Unluckily for Nate, Hunter Renfroe did not get one of those three against the Giants.
- There wasn't a deep drive to left field, but Nick Castellanos did get Scott on the board for the day with a single against Colorado in his side's victory.
- Our other Phillie taken on the day was Jean Segura. He matched Castellanos' single to allow Buddy to keep pace with Scott in the standings.
- They are both joined on 33 total bases for the year with Al. For the second straight day he got a single and a double from an AL West player, this time being Houston's Yulieski Gurriel.
- After being the optimal scorer the day prior, Joc Pederson continued his good form against the Brewers with a home run for Pavli that momentarily gave San Francisco an eighth inning advantage.
- Another NL West leadoff man went yard for the day as well with Connor Joe hitting an upper deck blast for Colin on the first pitch of Rockies/Phillies.
- The final two participants with the Home Run Hero chip used them on the day and it just so happened to be our joint game leaders. Needless to say, Joseph is no longer in a tie for first after Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had just a single for Toronto.
- So by process of elimination you have now deduced that our day's top scorer, Home Run Hero trigger man, and new overall leader is Matt thanks to Yordan Alvarez. He didn't do much after his first inning home run against the Rangers, but that one blast was enough to give Matt those bonus bases and a cushion at the top.
- Optimally, without the bonuses in play, Angels right fielder Taylor Ward would have gotten you eight total bases with his pair of home runs against the Guardians.
