- Game 5 looked as if it was going to be over real quick but ended up being just that but in the other direction.
- A combination of a lack of Braves available and a sneaking suspicion that the Dodgers were going home made the pick split 6/1 in favor of the defending champions on the evening.
- The solitary Brave to see selection was once again one being picked out, Greg's selection of Freddie Freeman. His first inning home run off Joe Kelly (yes you read that right Joe Kelly started an elimination game) was all the offense he could muster but was a solid send-off for the All-Star.
- Colin and Al could not say the same for their picks Matt Beaty and Will Smith respectively. A couple of hard hit balls and a walk between the two were there but no hits to be found.
- Trevor had to wait until the Dodgers final at-bat to get a hit from Mookie Betts, but it kept him from blanking in his own right.
- With Justin Turner's injury putting him out for the remainder of the playoffs, the Dodgers had to shift their defense around significantly which ended up with Albert Pujols playing the entire game at first base. He responded with two singles for Pavli and Ryan and pristine defense which provides nothing to the Pick One but just had to be noted.
- And finally our top score of the day came from one of the final true bullets Matt had left in his Pick One gun, AJ Pollock. A beneficiary of the aforementioned Turner shuffle, Pollock continued his battery of left-handed pitching with a second inning shot off Max Fried then proved he was an equal opportunity offender with an eighth inning launch off Jacob Webb. Add in a single and he finished with nine points to end his Pick One run and all but dry up Matt's pool of usable Dodgers.
