- Maybe Al and Matt should steer clear of the NL Central for a bit. A day after two DNP blanks from the division, both Joc Pederson and Ke'Bryan Hayes blanked for their respective selectors in divisional losses.
- I hate to keep on bringing up DNP's but Ryan "avoided" one in the worst possible way and a first for the Pick One Challenge. Isiah Kiner-Falefa didn't start against Oakland but came on in the late innings as a pinch runner. Although IKF has caught in his past, his pinch running for Jonah Heim did not lead to an at-bat, as he was replaced by John Hicks, but he did play so unfortunately he's off the table.
- Greg's pick, Josh Bell, was also on his way to a DNP but instead was called upon to pinch hit in the ninth inning of Washington's loss to the Dodgers and doubled. It should be noted though that for some reason Jon Lester was called upon to pinch hit before Bell was in this game.
- But in terms of top score, Colin's picks can't stop going ya-ya. To be fair, his pick on the day was Shohei Ohtani, the league leader in home runs, but when you have a mountain to climb as steep as the one Hecht is facing at the moment, you'll take 15 points over two days no questions asked.
