- With the postponements of Arsenal/Wolves and Leeds/Villa, only four matches were left on the docket. Only Southampton/Spurs was left untouched.
- Unsurprisingly Liverpool was the most backed club against Leicester yet it can be assumed that none of the three selectors of Reds expected them to fall 1-0 to the Foxes.
- That result left the trio of Trevor, Ryan, and Greg maxing out at a 7.0. Trevor's pick Jordan Henderson's midfield work pushing him past Ryan's pick Sadio Mane's quiet day up front (6.7) and Roberto Firmino's invisible Last Man In twenty-odd minutes (6.4) for Greg. Mane at least completed the trio of Liverpool attackers (alongside Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah) being picked out.
- West Ham put four past Watford to keep themselves fully entrenched in the European places in the Premier League table. Unfortunately for Matt, Michail Antonio could only muster an assist as none of his four shots made it past the Watford keeper. A 6.9 rating seems harsh given the scoreline but he was on an island up front for the Hammers and was plenty wasteful with his chances.
- A team that was far from wasteful on this day was Crystal Palace. Andrew went with the lone defender of the lot and got himself a nice 7.5 as Tyrick Mitchell got a 3-0 clean sheet with the Eagles paired with 60% long passing accuracy.
- But the rich got richer in terms of top score as Scott reclaimed the top spot after three matchdays failing to do so via Odsonne Edouard. The Frenchman played so well with a goal from the penalty spot and two assists that even a booking couldn't bring him down from an 8.4 rating.
- Optimally, Edouard was just 0.1 off the pace set by Southampton's Fraser Forster and West Ham's Jarrod Bowen who both ended on an 8.5 rating. Forster kept his Saints deadlocked with Spurs despite going down to ten men 39 minutes into the match. He had 10 saves with 7 of those coming from close range. Bowen assisted on the first and last goal of the day for the Hammers and also drew the penalty that was converted by Mark Noble for his side's third of the game.
