- With the final series of Queen-related cancellations, there were just two matches on the day. However, since the first one (Arsenal/Brentford) started at 7:00 AM ET all of the picks came from the later fixture (Everton/West Ham).
- To make matters worse, all of those said picks were made from the losing team in that match, West Ham.
- Lucas Paqueta was the latest "creative genius" Brazilian to produce nil-pwa for Trevor precipitating a fall from first place to third. The summer signing did complete 21 of 22 passes, all on the attacking side of the pitch but somehow evaded making any that led to anything resembling competent offense. Looking back at "highlights", a 6.1 rating is probably far too generous.
- At least Ryan's pick Michail Antonio got a shot on goal and won all of his duels for the Hammers, even if none ultimately led to a goal. He finished on a 6.9 (ni.ce) rating for his 70 minutes of action.
- Four of the seven participants in the game, including our new first and second place players, went with West Ham's Declan Rice against Everton. The West Ham captain netted Matt, Mike, Pavli, and Scott a 7.1 rating with 93% passing, a perfect ground duels record, and three key tackles in the defeat.
- But our top scorer of the day with 0.1 more ratings points was Andrew's pick Jarrod Bowen. Bowen continues to frustrate his FPL owners with his lack of goal involvement but has been a steady hand in the Pick One never falling below the standard starting rating of 6.5. His 7.2 came from three key attacking passes, three interceptions, and four shot attempts (all blocked or off target).
- Optimally, it was Everton's backup keeper Asmir Begovic who snuck in to take the spoils. The Bosnian's first league start of the season saw him make four saves (all from inside the box), two punches, and three clearances en route to a 8.0 final rating.
