- The final matchday before another two week international layoff had a four match slate but only had two of those see usage.
- Brentford isn't the punching bag that Norwich City have been so far this Premier League season, but their propensity for back and forth matches have made them key opponents for Pick One selectors. Maybe we should just start taking Brentford players though.
- None of the three West Ham players taken got on the scoresheet in the Hammers' loss to Brentford despite getting 18 total shots off. Vladimir Coufal (Andrew) was the hardest done of the bunch completing an abysmal 52% of his passes (none of them of the "long" variety) and losing the ball 31 times from the right back position for a 6.6. Said Benrahma (Trevor) and Michail Antonio (Ryan) got a 7.4 and 7.5 (top score BTW) respectively, but neither factored into West Ham's lone tally of the afternoon from Jarred Bowen. It can be argued that Antonio's lack of shooting actually helped him as Benrahma's mounting misses brought him down from his original 7.7.
- Antonio's top score makes him the first person this season to earn the honors more than once.
- The final three selections of the day came from the match of the week, Liverpool vs Manchester City. No City players were taken and with Pep Guardiola's rotation policies still going haywire no blame can be given. Diogo Jota (Greg) had his moments for the home side, but eventually picked up a silly yellow card and had a real sloppy ten minutes in the second half before being subbed off, finishing with a 6.6. Sadio Mane (Scott/Matt) probably would have fell into that same camp after a wasteful first half but similarly to the Crystal Palace contest a superb scoring effort dragged him out of the doldrums up to a 7.1.
- Once again, optimal selection just slipped through our collective fingers. Mohamed Salah was the only member of Liverpool's starting front three not to be selected and he went and put up one of the performances of the year. A goal, an assist, and countless mesmerizing dribbles put the Egyptian King on an 8.9 at match's end.
