- Newcastle United put themselves on the cusp of Champions League qualification with a comfortable 4-1 over Brighton & Hove Albion.
- The midweek match produced five goals but not much in the way of production in the Pick One Challenge. Trevor's sub selection, Anthony Gordon, became the third two-club man on the year, but could only muster the same rating (6.0) as Last Man In Matt Targett for the victorious Magpies.
- That left a lackluster top score for Scott and Pavli with a player from each side of the pitch. Brighton's Pascal Groß was Pavli's selection while Scott went with Newcastle's Joe Willock. Each man finished on a 6.6 rating.
- Optimally, any of our Last Man In enjoyers could have taken Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes and earned an 8.1 rating for doing so.
