- With COVID protocols in the Manchester United camp forcing the postponement of their match with Brentford, there were just two matches on the day. Among the four clubs involved, only Aston Villa, who won 2-0 against Norwich City, saw no usage.
- The bottom of the table Canaries were surprisingly the most used team with three selections.
- Todd Cantwell (Matt) and Max Aarons (Ryan) disappointed in their respective roles. Cantwell found himself on an island in the left corner of the pitch with no chance to provide service or receive it if he cut inside. He finished after 61 minutes with a 6.5. Aarons had plenty of possession coming up from right back but made many a careless pass, including one that ultimately led to Villa's opening goal, and got booked needlessly under two minutes after the re-start putting his final rating at a 6.7.
- Despite losing 2-0, Andrew's pick Jacob Sorensen was sensational in the Norwich midfield. Although formation-wise he sat right behind the front three, he made seven clearances, four key tackles, and even blocked a goal-bound shot. Compile those figures with 87% passing and one of Norwich's three shots on target and a 7.4 is more than fair.
- Glossing over Greg's Last Man In providing the drubbed Leeds their only pick (Cody Drameh/6.0), Manchester City ruled this day. The Citizens went for 7 at the Etihad and could have easily had more to be honest. Looking at their front four, Jack Grealish's day ended up unremarkable in comparison with "just" a goal and 95% passing. His 7.7 was the lowest among City attacking options.
- Meanwhile whilst Phil Foden wasn't the optimal choice, it was damn well more than enough to get Scott back into first place and by a comfortable margin at that. Playing the false nine, Foden netted a goal and dished out an assist and had the often overlooked hockey assist on another goal. It feels weird to say an 8.9 was the best one could do but when a team wins 7-0 there are going to be some bonkers ratings in play.
- The most bonkers of them was Kevin De Bruyne's perfect 10.0 playing behind the trio of Grealish, Foden, and Riyad Mahrez (9.3). He scored twice from midfield, won all of his ground duels, and even threw a key tackle in their for good measure.
