- Despite telling himself to not do it over and over, Trevor once again picked a playmaking Brazilian and got boned for it. A second 5.8 in less than a week came on this occasion from Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus.
- On normal occasions Pavli would probably be fuming that Jesus' teammate Bukayo Saka got both booked for diving in their draw with Southampton and didn't get a single shot on goal. However, when your closest challenger ends up with a dark red rating your 6.5 doesn't look nearly as bad.
- Newcastle was able to fend off Spurs to move to fourth in the table. Neither first sub Jacob Murphy (6.7) nor Last Man In Chris Wood (6.5) did much to help them over the line for Matt and Ryan respectively.
- Heung-min Son was just as invisible for 90 minutes for the home side, something one of his backers got to see live and in living color. Scott at least got to enjoy his pain of the Tottenham man's 6.6 from the comfort of his couch while Andrew did so from the stands.
- But at least Andrew got to see Mike's pick, and top scorer for the day, Harry Kane put the ball in the back of the auld onion bag. Kane was our only "green" rated player selected finishing on a 7.9 after slotting home his side's only goal nine minutes after the second half restart.
- Optimally, it was a former Spurs player that earned the best possible haul in hostile territory. Kieran Trippier may have lost his clean sheet with Kane's goal, but the Newcastle captain won 10 of 12 duels, had 100 touches at right back, and made three blocks to net an 8.6 rating.
