- For the second straight solo matchday, Arsenal was a featured side. This time the Gunners welcomed Aston Villa to the Emirates.
- The pick distribution was split right down the middle with three Arsenal players and three from Villa.
- Things didn't go particularly well for the visitors in either the game or in the Pick One. WIth the first three selections for the club of the campaign, Scott maxed out on this side of the proceedings with a 6.7 from Danny Ings. His pairing with the yellow carded Ollie Watkins (Matt, 6.4) was fruitless before eventually being subbed off 13 minutes from time for Anwar El Ghazi (Greg, 6.5).
- For Arsenal, the second time wasn't great but the bar was set so low from Trevor's selection of Takehiro Tomiyasu from the Crystal Palace match that Andrew probably won't feel too bad about a 6.7.
- Right in front of the Japanese international was Trevor's pick for this one, Bukayo Saka. The youngster had a couple of real good chances, but was quite wasteful with both those and his passes only completing 69% (nice) of them on his way to a 6.8 rating.
- Although he took a bit of a hit losing his clean sheet in the 82nd minute, Brazilian center half Gabriel was superb for Ryan on his way to top score. Like it was just stated, this probably would have been closer to a 7.6 or 7.7 had it not been for Villa's consolation goal but he was a standout defensively as well as springing Arsenal counters en route to a 7.2. This also put Ryan back into first place by 0.1 rating points.
- Optimally, Emile Smith-Rowe would have been the main man out of the Arsenal midfield. A goal and assist as well as the dirty work in being a ballhawk defensively got him up to an 8.6 rating which would have tied the top score of the season Pick One-wise so far.
