- The best and worst selections of the day were the only ones that didn't come from Bournemouth/Manchester United.
- Unfortunately for Scott, he is seeing his selection come up this early in the recap. That is because Harvey Barnes had a rough go of it in Leicester's 1-0 defeat to Fulham. The winger could only complete 70% of his passes and routinely lost possession in the worst of areas forcing the aggregators to rate him at just a 5.9.
- Both Bournemouth and Manchester United each had a 6.4 rated selection on the day. The Cherries' pick was Last Man In Joe Rothwell who played 10 minutes and had two touches. United's (and Trevor's) was Anthony Martial who was the lowest rated starter for the 3-0 victors.
- It wasn't all doom and gloom for the Red Devils in the Challenge though. Pavli got an assist from Christian Eriksen to put a stamp on his 7.2 lead-increasing outing against the south coasters.
- But showing that leaving the Last Man In camp can provide dividends was Mike with Brighton's Evan Ferguson. The Irish youngster created two of Brighton's four goals against Everton (1 goal, 1 assist). The 8.0 was the highest output for Mike since Harry Kane's 7.9 in late October and pulled him out of the financial relegation zone.
- Optimally, either Fulham keeper Bernd Leno or Newcastle right back Kieran Trippier would have earned a backer 8.4 ratings points worth of goodness.
