- Three of the four matches saw usage on the day with only the scoreless draw between Spurs and Everton left without a selection.
- We'll start with the last match of the afternoon as Liverpool dropped a crucial three points to West Ham United. Despite the loss, Matt made Mohamed Salah (6.8) the first man completely picked out in the Premier League Pick One. It took 11 matchweeks for this milestone to be hit and let's just say the commissioner wishes this final pick came with a better outcome. In victory, Greg had his perpetual LMI with defender Arthur Masuaku (6.5).
- Doing Salah one-tenth of a point better, but leaving the pitch a lot worse was Trevor's selection Youri Tielemans. Like what was said about Emiliano Buendia a couple days ago, the system loves offensive minded midfielders racking up defensive stats (3 clearances, 1 interception, 1 pure tackle) and that is exactly what the Leicester man was doing before leaving injured in the 77th minute.
- That left a trio of Gunners coming off the board from the day's opening match against Watford. Andrew had the first goalkeeper of the season to keep a clean sheet in Aaron Ramsdale, but with just one save to his name against a toothless Watford attack he couldn't advance much past 7.0. The other Arsenal player in this particular "bullet point" had a lot more to do and squandered the vast majority of it. Ryan's pick Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should be thanking the man who ended up earning top score for cleaning up the mess of a morning he had. He had a penalty saved, another goal ruled out through VAR, a bad foul leading to a yellow card, and 60% passing. Had Arsenal, lost I think the 6.2 had the potential to go even lower.
- That messiness aside, a second top score honor of the season went to Scott's selection, Emile Smith-Rowe. The talented 21-year old scored the match's only goal and completed 92% of his passes including a long ball that should have put Aubameyang through on goal. ESR beat his top score from last time by 0.2 ending the 1-0 win with a 7.4 rating. This performance also pushed Scott back into first place.
- Optimally, Trent Alexander-Arnold was the day's main man. The beacon of light on an otherwise dreary afternoon for Liverpool at the London Stadium, the right back scored his side's opener from a cleverly run set piece and assisted Divock Origi on the second goal that gave the Reds one last glimmer of a draw that never came. He ended with a very just 8.5.
