- It was the start of a new matchweek in the Premier League with a single offering for Friday Night Football as Crystal Palace took on Brighton & Hove Albion.
- The pick split was 50/50 with the Last Man In Danny Welbeck evening things and netting Greg a 6.6 rating. Welbeck was the second step Last Man In since Greg had taken Christian Benteke earlier in the campaign.
- Things didn't go spectacularly for Matt's pick Eberechi Eze. An unnecessary yellow in the dying embers of the first half and his side scoring not five minutes after him being substituted produces a fair 6.7 output.
- This match was a persistent "What could have been" moment for Trevor's selection Neal Maupay. He had a goal ruled out by VAR in the first half and instead of his late pass finding the head of a teammate it was instead turned in for an own goal. With that much bad luck in just 25 touches, you end up with a 6.8 and don't bat an eye.
- Completing the sequence with a 6.9 (ni.ce) was Ryan's charge Tyrick Mitchell. Palace's defense was stout all afternoon with the left side of Mitchell and Marc Guehi being the better pairing before the unfortunate ending.
- Scott pushed himself further clear at the top with the day's silver meal coming from Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentinian (yes, you read that correctly) continued his fine recent run of form with 83% passing and 4 key tackles as the Brighton midfield pendulum earning a 7.4 rating in the end.
- But the day's top scorer, and optimal scorer overall, was Andrew's pick Jack Butland. While selecting him he used the exact words "Jack Butland is due for a big game" and he was not wrong. Butland saved a penalty and made four more stops from inside his box including a couple of ones from point blank range. Only the ball being put past him by his own centerback kept his 7.7 rating from being even higher.
