- It was Monday Night Football which meant there was just one match on the docket with that being Arsenal/Everton.
- This contest had everything to entertain a casual fan and make supporters of either side punch the nearest wall on numerous occasions.
- Alexandre Lacazette captained the Gunners for this one and despite Everton being in miserable form and low on confidence, Trevor and Andrew's pick did not register a single shot on Jordan Pickford's net. He didn't even complete a single key pass in the final third of the pitch AS A STRIKER. A 6.7 in hindsight is probably too generous from the aggregators.
- In comparison, the man who replaced him in the 85th minute, Greg's Last Man In Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, got off two shots. Now neither was on target but still the effort in 1/6th the time should have at least put him level instead of with a 6.6 rating.
- Those selected from the Everton side weren't much better. Abdoulaye Doucoure (Scott) and Anthony Gordon (Matt) combined for three shots out of midfield and losing the clean sheet really had them on an uphill climb even as the Toffees made a spectacular turnaround. Doucoure and Gordon finished with 6.6 and 6.7 ratings respectively. Scott's 6.6 means him and Trevor are now tied at the top of the table.
- However, just three tenths of a point behind the two of them after securing the only player to earn above a 7.0 on the day is Ryan. After failing to impress in previous selections for our tied top tandem, Saka was one of few consistent bright spots on a day that ended quite drearily for the Gunners. He completed 97% of his passes with that one misfire being a late cross that was more lump the ball up panic than anything. He won 11 out of 14 ground duels which is impressive seeing how he was facing challenges from both Doucoure and resident drop-you-on-your-ass mid Allan. A 7.5 was his third-best league rating all season.
- In terms of optimal scores, each side had a 8.0 rated player. For each team it was the player that opened their scoring accounts for the day with Martin Odegaard for Arsenal and Richarlison for Everton.
