- One of the more congested final matchdays of the group stages provided some of the finest performances of the tournament thus far.
- With their progression already sealed, the Netherlands still put out a 90 minute PSA as to why nobody should be clamoring to face them in the knockout round. Scott's selection of Memphis Depay scored the opener and assisted on the Dutch's second for second high score of the day with 8.5. Andrew's pick, Matthijs de Ligt, was the standout defender against minnows North Macedonia playing the full time and not once getting dribbled by.
- Austria was the other team booking their ticket to the knockout round with a 1-0 win over Ukraine but nobody chose goalscorer Christoph Baumgartner or any of his teammates or opponents.
- Denmark rallied heroically to make themselves eligible for the next round, nevertheless the lone Dane selected on the day, Martin Braithwaite by Trevor, was relatively anonymous in an attack that saw four goals hit the back of the Russian net. The Barca striker's 6.8 was the lowest score of the day and sent Trevor from 1st place to 4th.
- Finally, Belgium made Finland have to sweat out three more groups to see if they are going to get one of the third place advancing positions. Kevin De Bruyne became the first player this tournament to earn top score honors twice, this time for Mike with the second best mark so far of 8.8. The other two Belgians selected also bested the 7.0 plateau with Eden Hazard (Matt) and Axel Witsel (Greg) performing admirably alongside KDB in the midfield.
