- There were three matches to choose from for the morning and all three saw usage in one way or another.
- Leicester and Brentford put forth an entertaining back-and-forth match that the two sides have been known to do this season with a couple of fantastic goals being scored in the process. Regrettably for Matt, none of those came from Jamie Vardy as the former Golden Boot winner didn't even register a shot on his way to a 6.6 rating.
- The same score of 6.6 was to be had by another recipient of that award, Andrew's pick Harry Kane. Despite nearly doubling West Ham's possession, Kane could only manage one of Spurs' four shots on the West Ham net. Conversely, Ryan's pick Declan Rice was a boss in the midfield with a 7.7 completing 93% of his passes including every one considered "long" by statistical tracking and routinely acted as the Hammers' fulcrum by regaining possession and turning a quick counter in the other direcetion.
- Finally the day's main event came in the form of Manchester United hosting Liverpool. All three of Liverpool's fabled front three saw selection although one, Sadio Mane, came via the Last Man In provision. Scott's pick Roberto Firmino did yeoman's work as he always does but did not factor on the scoresheet and ended with a 7.1.
- Trevor's selection of Mohamed Salah not only was the top score of the day, top score of the season, but was also the optimal pick of the day. Just shy of what could have been the third 10.0 in eight days, the Egyptian King contributed to four of the five goals the Reds put past David de Gea scoring three and assisting one on his way to a 9.8 rating. Only Matt has Salah left available for the remainder of the campaign.
- A quick side note should be in order to not only show you how good things can get on the Pick One but how poor they can as well. Paul Pogba had just about 14 minutes of playing time in the second half before being sent off for a straight red card. He touched the ball 20 times in that span and lost the ball 5 times. His 4.4 is far and away the worst showing of the season and we all are lucky nobody took a punt with the Frenchman on the day.
