- The early run in the game so far seems to be on strikers and so far that is paying off.
- Romelu Lukaku helped tremendously on both ends of the table as he scored both of his shots on target against Russia and was key in hold up play for the Belgians. His 8.1 rated performance puts Mike alone at the top, but also allows Greg to rebound from a forgetful debut in the tournament with Burak Yilmaz.
- Once again Trevor went with the only true midfielder on the day with Belgium's Youri Tielemans. He was more accurate than most with his long passing, but other than that was a bit player on the squad yet Belgium's big win allowed him to keep his head above the 7.0 mark just enough.
- The early match saw Wales double up in selections against Switzerland but only draw on the scoreboard. Kieffer Moore was denied early on by Yann Sommer but eventually came good for Matt with a second half goal and a portfolio of headed clearances despite wearing what resembled a Rambo headband after getting busted open.
- Haris Seferovic (Scott) and Gareth Bale (Andrew) were incredibly wasteful with their chances and possession but the Swiss striker Seferovic was key enough in the link-up to Breel Embolo's goal to salvage his day's score. Bale was not as fortunate.
- Nobody selected a player from Denmark/Finland, but it was both a scary yet eventually uplifting affair seeing the two sets of supporters rally around a nation after Christian Eriksen's frightening collapse towards the end of the first half of play. Here's to a full recovery for the current Inter Milan and former Spurs and Ajax man.
