- Liverpool was able to keep its faint title hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park.
- Last Man In legion went 4-for-4 for the fourth matchday in five netting themselves a standard 6.5 rating from Villa substitute Bertrand Traore.
- Trevor selected his 14th different Liverpool player on the season in hopes that his Reds would not only take home the title but also supply a check mark in the old tiebreaker column. Alas, as of now it looks like Curtis Jones and his 7.2 are only going to help him if he wins outright.
- And the margin of that possibility shrunk ever so slightly because Scott had the top score with Jones' Liverpool midfield mate Naby Keita. Going with the differential screwed our game leader that little bit as Keita was able to play the full 90 and rebound from a subpar first half to finish with a 7.3 rating.
- Scott could have closed the gap even more had he gone with the day's optimal scorer Joel Matip. The Liverpool central defender scored his sides' opening goal to level things after an early Villa effort. He also made two interceptions and a key tackle to take home a 7.9 in closing.
