- The holiday season in the Premier League is especially congested with sporadic midweek fixtures interweaving their way into countless cup, European, and domestic schedules.
- There were a pair of matches on this particular day and only Leeds United was left untouched by our participants.
- Leeds' opponents, Crystal Palace, had the most players selected with three yet all three had the unfortunate claim to the worst three scores of the afternoon.
- Odsonne Edouard (Matt) and Wilfried Zaha (Ryan) ended with a 6.8 and 6.7 respectively after combining for zero shots on target against Illan Meslier. Last Man In Will Hughes earned Greg a 6.3 for his final ten minutes in which he completed all of his passes but none were within half the pitch of the opposition net.
- A ninth minute sending off of Ciaran Clark put Newcastle on the back foot real early and nerfed Andrew's pick of Allan Saint-Maximin. Instead of being a dynamic attacking wing, he found himself tracking back more than normal and only ended with 27 total touches of the ball and a 6.9 rating.
- Trevor's pick Teemu Pukki was able to snare a 79th minute equalizer for Norwich against the Magpies which earned him a 7.2 he probably would have been nowhere close to given he only had 21 touches and no shots on target after 70 minutes of play.
- But top score for the day went to the man who scored the goal Pukki had to equalize against, Scott's selection Callum Wilson. Not only was Wilson the top scorer with a 7.7 but he was also the optimal selection for the day with his 61st minute penalty and spotless dribble and ground duel record. The tally put Scott back within half a rating point of the lead.
