- With the three early matches postponed, there were six left to choose from for our six participants. Only half of those six saw usage.
- Boxing Day's opener saw a nine-goal track meet between Manchester City and Leicester City. Lamentably for Trevor, Bernardo Silva did not factor into any of City's goals and finished with the second-lowest rating among the starting XI with a 6.7.
- Conversely, the man Trevor is chasing in the standings, Scott, got the opening goal from Kevin De Bruyne. Even though the Belgian pretty much went into cruise control from there until his 71st minute substitution, his 86% passing and 3 key final third passes locked him into a 7.3 rating.
- Andrew was our lone Arsenal backer with Gabriel Martinelli going up against Norwich City. While the Brazilian didn't reach the heights of his brace in his Pick One debut, he still had a solid afternoon even without contributing directly to any of the Gunners' five goals against the Canaries. He won 9 out of 15 duels (air & ground) en route to a 7.2 rating.
- Greg's Last Man In Steven Alzate bested Silva by 0.1 in only nine minutes of Brighton's 2-0 win over Brentford.
- Our top two scorers of the day came from the team on the wrong end of that scoreline. Ryan got a 7.3 from Ivan Toney who even with a yellow card ran himself ragged to keep the margin at what it ended as.
- That leaves Matt with Sergi Canos to take home top score honors. Brentford wasted many a chance to break the deadlock against Robert Sanchez and the Seagulls but the majority of the Canos' service either ended up softly in the hands of the Brighton keeper or in the stands with a scuffed shot. Nevertheless the aggregators felt that Canos' workrate was worthy of a 7.4.
- Optimally, Bukayo Saka was magnificent in Arsenal's dismantling of Norwich. Saka's brace and a pair of hockey assists in 78 minutes put him at a 9.0 and lifted Arsenal back into the Premier League's top four. Both Andrew and Greg have the speedy youngster left at their disposal.
