- The mid-week makeup matches continue to find their way into what little pockets of the calendar they can find over the course of the final third of the Premier League campaign. This day's was Manchester United hosting Brighton & Hove Albion.
- Last Man In Alex Telles earned Greg a 6.5 for his ten minutes on the pitch against Brighton, but more notably he became the 20th different Manchester United player used this season. Liverpool is second with 17 unique selections followed by Manchester City with 16 and Arsenal and Chelsea tied with 14.
- Brighton fought nobly on the afternoon against the home side but neither Leandro Trossard (Andrew) nor Jakub Moder (Ryan) could work their way much past the baseline rating in attack with a 6.6 and 6.7 respectively.
- Fred nearly had an assist in the first half but the final product was not there in the end. While his overall passing numbers weren't too bad (81%), that lack of push forward from the Brazilian couldn't push him into the lime level and left Scott with a 6.9 (ni.ce) rating before being subbed off in the 73rd minute.
- That eventual opening assist six minutes after the re-start came from Matt's pick Scott McTominay. The Scottish midfielder completed 88% of his passes and completed 4 out of 5 attacking dribbles. Only a late yellow card pulled him down slightly to a still-impressive 7.5 rating.
- But scoring seven minutes into stoppage time to push him to the day's top and optimal score was Trevor's selection Bruno Fernandes. There were points in the match, especially after his own yellow in the 53rd minute, where it looked like Fernandes was going to get yanked off by either Ralf Rangnick or pushed off by Cristiano Ronaldo. The lanky #10 held firm though and was vital to United securing the three points over the final half hour and finished with a 8.5 rating.
