- Another day, another set of fixtures. The festive period of the Premier League season continued with Aston Villa taking on Spurs and Nottingham Forest facing Chelsea.
- The victorious Villans were the only team of the four to not get a selection on the day. However, that 2-0 defeat didn't do Trevor's title hopes any favors as Tottenham wingback Ivan Perisic finished on a 6.6 thanks to the shock result.
- That is the same rating as the quartet of Last Man In users (Andrew, Matt, Mike, & Ryan) got from Forest substitute Sam Surridge in his side's draw with Chelsea.
- On most days, Pavli would probably be a bit upset seeing a 6.8 next to the name of Mason Mount. But when that rating actually boosts your overall advantage, you can't be too bent out of shape about it.
- But disappointments aside, Scott was able to sift through the rubble of the day and find a goal scorer in Chelsea's Raheem Sterling. He netted 16 minutes in making the most of his one shot on target from the right wing. His ability to maintain possession in the rare instances he got the ball in the remainder of his 73 minutes kept him in the light green on Sofascore and at the top of the daily leaderboard with a 7.1.
- Optimally, Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz, who was sent off during his last selection, conducted a beautiful midfield orchestra against Spurs with positive passing and a goal to end on an 8.2 rating before unfortunately being subbed off with an injury concern.
