- For the first time since December 12th, we have a different person sitting at the top of the Premier League Pick One Challenge table.
- Spurs had the result of the weekend pulling out a thrilling 3-2 victory over leaders Manchester City on the road. Unfortunately, neither of the Last Men In, Matt Doherty (Ryan) nor Lucas Moura (Greg) produced any of that scintillating stoppage time magic for the visitors. Doherty ended his short stint with a 6.6 and Moura with a 6.5. However, the Brazilian winger became the fifth player picked out on the season, the first of 2022 and first non-Merseyside player.
- While seeing his side earn a momentous three points was vastly more important, Andrew saw his mid-table lead shrink with just 6.3 rating points from his selection Eric Dier.
- The first of two selections outside of the Spurs/City tie was Matt's selection of Joelinton. The Magpies were able to secure a point and spoil West Ham's claim to top four on the morning, but the converted striker now midfielder could only muster a 6.7 rating in the draw.
- Scott is no longer in first despite a 7.1 from Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey. The talented 20 year old completed 95% of his passes, all his crosses, and all his long passes, yet Villa still fell to relegation-battling Watford.
- That little hiccup from the Villans allowed Trevor to jump 0.1 rating points ahead into the top spot with a 7.4 from the day's top scorer Ilkay Gundogan. The scorer of City's first of the afternoon had a second hit the woodwork and a third blocked by a Secret Service-esque effort from Spurs' centerback pairing.
- Optimally, only Greg, who has been on a Last Man In binge that would make Lou in the NBA Pick One blush, could have selected Tottenham's Harry Kane who netted twice in the second half to earn himself a 8.5 rating in victory.
