- Both games provided entertainment on the day, but for vastly different reasons.
- After Christian Eriksen's scary incident in the group stage, Denmark has become a team very easy for neutrals to cling onto for this tournament. Matt's selection of youngster Mikkel Damsgaard did not disappoint in the massive void left by Eriksen's absence netting top score of the day with a 7.4 rating on 83% passing and an assist on the first goal.
- The team that took that four goal L to the Danes was Wales who had the most representation of the day with three selections. Trevor's pick of Daniel James did the best of a bunch with a 7.0 to put him 0.1 points ahead of Mike in first place.
- Italy/Austria had less sentimental juice but more in terms of history. Neither selection on the day scored for the Italy but the Azzurri will take the third-longest unbeaten run in history into the quarterfinals after besting a very well organized Austrian side in extra time. If only the pickless Austrians didn't snag a late one, we'd also be including their over 1100 minute streak without conceding as well.
