ROBERT ALLEN- 140.5 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Gareth Bale, WAL (6.7) / Ismaila Sarr, SEN (7.2) / Enner Valencia, ECU (7.1) / Jordan Pickford, ENG (7.1) Our new game leader was one of four people to nearly complete the picking out of the Welsh captain. Ismaila Sarr was pivotal in keeping Senegal's hopes of advancement alive despite not directly contributing to any of their three goals against Qatar. Enner Valencia continued to be the best (and only) source of offense for the Ecuadorians as they took a well-deserved point off the Dutch. Jordan Pickford did plenty of Jordan Pickford things in the 0-0 draw with the US, but the most important in this Challenge was that clean sheet.
TREVOR UTLEY- 139.7 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Harry Wilson, WAL (6.9) / Boulaye Dia, SEN (7.3) / Frenkie de Jong, NED (7.6) / Harry Kane, ENG (6.4) It is tough to believe that the better performing Harry on this roster was on the team that lost 2-0 to Iran but here we are. Wilson didn't get to stick around for the late Welsh collapse while Kane didn't have the same privilege of being substituted in England's wasteful draw with the USA. Boulaye Dia scored one of Senegal's three goals against Qatar and was a disruptive force throughout. Frenkie de Jong has just two possible selections to go after his midfield bossing against Ecuador in which he completed 93% of his passes.
SCOTT SERVIDIO- 139.5 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Gareth Bale, WAL (6.7) / Ismaila Sarr, SEN (7.2) / Memphis Depay, NED (6.1) / Bukayo Saka, ENG (6.5) Our deposed Pick One king was one of three people to pick both Bale and Sarr on the day. He opted for a Dutch substitute against Senegal and unfortunately ended up with the underwhelming Memphis Depay who came on at halftime, took zero shots, and lost the ball over half the time he came into contact with it. Any attacking option for the English seemed doomed from kickoff but at least Bukayo Saka didn't flop around for his 78 minutes unlike some of his compatriots.
LENNY MALAGRINO- 139.5 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Gareth Bale, WAL (6.7) / Ismaila Sarr, SEN (7.2) / Enner Valencia, ECU (7.1) / Gio Reyna, USA (6.6) The third Bale/Sarr combo selector is now in a tie for third place after the day's proceedings. Only Trevor has both of the two left at his disposal going into the third round of matches. Enner Valencia was the common thread for the day's biggest risers scorewise. Gregg Berhalter's use of Gio Reyna has been a huge point of contention with United States supporters but at least somebody was able to get something out of him as Lenny earned his services through the Last Man In provision.
MARTIN DUNNING- 138.4 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Aaron Ramsey, WAL (6.4) / Ismaila Sarr, SEN (7.2) / Cody Gakpo, NED (7.2) / Harry Kane, ENG (6.4) Martin should direct all of his vitriol towards the British Isles after they torpedoed an otherwise productive day. Having taken Bale against England, he pivoted to the other stalwart of the old guard to no avail. Gakpo made it two goals in two games, both of which he has been selected in the Pick One Challenge. Kane's day against the United States defied all logic and really raised the volume on the calls for Gareth Southgate's job at the conclusion of this World Cup.
ANDREW SANFORD- 138.0 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Gareth Bale, WAL (6.7) / Ismaila Pathe Ciss, SEN (6.4) / Virgil van Dijk, NED (7.1) / Brenden Aaronson, USA (6.8) He lost a bit of ground in his quest to get out of the Pick One basement, but it could have been worse for Andrew given he had two subs in his ranks. The lesser of two Ismailas was fairly poor in his time against Qatar. Although he completed 92% of his passes in limited action, only one was deemed forward. He also received a late yellow card. Virgil van Dijk led the Netherlands in clearances and snuffed out what could have been the winning goal for Ecuador with a big tackle. Like Gio Reyna, Aaronson was given little time to make an impact for the USA but was able to give England fits with his relentlessness in a shade over 15 minutes of play.
