- Only three of the six fixtures on the day saw usage. Of those three, half of the clubs involved didn't have any selections either.
- Leicester City fell late to Southampton by a margin of 2-1. Scott's pick James Maddison scored the first goal of the game for the Foxes before completing imploding during the match's final half hour. That time included a Maddison yellow card for arguing with the head referee which put him at a 6.9 (ni.ce) despite having scored.
- At least that was better than the 6.2 Andrew got from Ayoze Perez as the Spaniard had just one shot off target before being subbed off in the 65th minute.
- Arsenal was the busiest club in the Challenge garnering three selections. One of those was yet another substitute, Takehiro Tomiyasu, giving Ryan 6.8 ratings points and a possibly key clean sheet mark.
- It has become meme fodder that the Gunners are hording Gabriels. Two of the three on the roster were selected on the day against Bournemouth. Matt got a 6.8 from Gabriel Martinelli in 75 fairly quiet minutes. Mike earned what has to feel like a hollow 7.0 from Gabriel Jesus seeing how he had one goal ruled out for offsides, didn't see any rating bump after assisting on Martin Odegaard's second, and got cautioned on his only foul of the contest.
- Forest may have lost their second straight shutout at the death against Everton, but they produced the day's top two Pick One scorers.
- Neco Williams had another superb day as a wingback earning Pavli a 7.1 rating against the Toffees on the strength of five key tackles and a crucial blocked shot.
- But for the second time in less than a week, Dean Henderson took home the top score with a keeper-best 8.3 for Trevor. Nottingham's shot stopper made seven saves, including four inside the box, before capitulating in the 88th minute to Demarai Gray.
- Optimally, Che Adams came on for Southampton just before the hour mark and was a catalyst in that aforementioned meltdown for Leicester City. The Saints' lone picked out player from last year scored twice to earn an 8.4 and three points for his club.
