- It was an All-Manchester selection pool on the day as no player from any other club but Manchester United or Manchester City saw selection.
- However, the split was 5-1 in favor of the Sky Blue side of Manchester who won 4-0 at Norwich leaving one person with a Red Devil that drew 1-1 with Southampton. Fortunately for Scott, that one Man U player was Paul Pogba (7.4) who had it not been for a stupid yellow card late on would have been their top rated player outright.
- All of Man City's starters finished in the lime or above on Sofascore with only two of the subs finishing under the 7.0 mark. One of those was Greg's Last Man In Kayky, a youngster making his Premier League debut and finishing with a 6.5 in only 10 total minutes.
- The two Citizens who weren't involved in any of the club's four goals both ended up on 7.5 ratings. Riyad Mahrez (Trevor) misplaced two passes all afternoon and had two successful attacking dribbles while Oleksandr Zinchenko (Ryan) paired his clean sheet with 91% passing accuracy including 78% on long balls.
- Andrew has every right to feel hard done by with Kyle Walker's 7.2 seeing an assist, clean sheet, and 2 shot attempts on his scoresheet. But he was also the only City defender to be beaten by Norwich's anemic offense more than twice only for them to flub their chances in the end.
- But our top scorer for the day was Matt with Phil Foden, the game's only goal scorer who wasn't the day's optimal scorer. Foden scored his sixth Premier League goal of the season and finished his 81 minute shift with a 7.7 rating.
- That aforementioned optimal scorer was of course Raheem Sterling who netted a hat trick for the remainder of City's four goals against the Canaries. Sterling had gone five league matches without a goal before erupting for a 9.3 on the back of that hatter.
