ROBERT ALLEN- 170.7 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Issam Jebali, TUN (6.7) / Robert Lewandowski, POL (7.9) / Theo Hernandez, FRA (7.7) / Lionel Messi, ARG (7.9) Outside of the one match where his selection's team did not score, Robert had goal creations from the rest of his three picks. Even without a goal or assists, Issam Jebali was able to keep the early rating from cratering the remainder of the day with a solid shift. Both Lewandowski and Messi scored and assisted respectively. Lewandowski is just one selection away from being completely picked out while Messi became the first player of the World Cup Pick One to run the selection gauntlet. Theo Hernandez assisted on Kylian Mbappe's first goal before having his clean sheet snatched away from him less than ten minutes later.
TREVOR UTLEY- 168.7 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Youssef Msakni, TUN (6.9) / Piotr Zielinski, POL (7.0) / Adrien Rabiot, FRA (7.2) / Lionel Messi, ARG (7.9) Tunisia's captain served nobly in the early kickoff with two shots on target, off target, and blocked. Zielinski scored Poland's opener against the Saudis but seemed to run out of gas towards the business end of the second half. Rabiot was once again great in the pivot for France but unlike against Australia there were no direct goal contributions not even of the hockey assist variety. Messi's two goal contributions kept Argentina's hopes of advancement, and Trevor's bracket, alive.
LENNY MALAGRINO- 168.5 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Mathew Leckie, AUS (5.9) / Salem Al-Dawsari, KSA (6.8) / Antoine Griezmann, FRA (8.4) / Lionel Messi, ARG (7.9) Lenny was not a morning person on the second day in Groups C & D. Mathew Leckie was the only Australian attacker to have a bad game and by bad I mean it was as if he wasn't even on the pitch. Saudi Arabia's Salem Al-Dawsari had a penalty kick saved on the stroke of halftime and it crushed him from that point forward. But in the afternoon, Griezmann got an assist and tied for the best rating thus far with a 8.4 in France's group-clinching win over Denmark. Messi's magic put him within 0.2 ratings points of second place overall.
SCOTT SERVIDIO- 167.5 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Issam Jebali, TUN (6.7) / Robert Lewandowski, POL (7.9) / Olivier Giroud, FRA (6.8) / Lautaro Martinez, ARG (6.6) Lewandowski saved Scott from having blanks all the way up and down his daily scorecard. He had Scott's first assist in in the Challenge in four days. Martinez joined Giroud and Jebali in the ranks of the contribution-less as Argentina continues to find ways to leave him stranded offside more often than in the thick of attacks. It'll be interesting to see how many people entrust him with a selection on the final day of the group stage or if Argentina advances.
MARTIN DUNNING- 166.0 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Mathew Leckie, AUS (5.9) / Robert Lewandowski, POL (7.9) / Olivier Giroud, FRA (6.8) / Alexis Mac Allister, ARG (7.0) Another rollercoaster day for Martin leaves him further off the pace after initially collapsing on Group E/F's first matchday. His lone differential on the day was Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister who still somehow despite playing in the most visible league in the world got comments throughout the contest such as "How is he not Scottish?" Only Lenny has Robert Lewandowski left at his disposal which could be a huge scale tipper on the final days of the group stage.
ANDREW SANFORD- 163.0 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Ali Abdi, TUN (6.2) / Jakub Kaminski, POL (6.9) / Hugo Lloris, FRA (6.4) / Guillermo Ochoa, MEX (6.0) When you are in the basement, you gotta take some risks. It just so happens on this day none of them panned out for Andrew. He was the only person not to double up on any player in the Challenge yet pulled home three of the four lowest scores recorded by selections on the day. His double keeper strategy of Hugo Lloris and Memo Ochoa blew up in his face when neither could recreate their form from their first games. Ali Abdi's lone contribution to Tunisia's loss was a yellow card. His best player of the day was substitute Jakub Kaminski who came in for Trevor's pick Piotr Zielinski and was solid in support up top.
