- The final match of Matchweek 4 pitted Everton against Burnley with both sides needing three points for vastly different reasons early on.
- Most Everton backers, both in the stands and in the Pick One, were caught off guard by Dominic Calvert-Lewin's late scratch from the team sheet moving Richarlison into the starring role up front. Four people backed the Brazilian to keep up appearances that had Everton near the top four and Calvert-Lewin scoring in both of his matches selected. Instead, he spent most of his time on the ground giving ammunition to every football detractor as each glancing challenge turned into a reenactment from a WWII movie. Add that to 64% passing and an inability to capitalize on fantastic outings alongside him from Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray and a 6.6 seems kind.
- For Burnley, Andrew was looking decent with Charlie Taylor until the wheels fell off Burnley's defense conceding three goals in six minutes starting at the hour mark. Taylor plummeted from a 7.4 with three pass interceptions and five out of six duels won to a 6.6 in that horrid 360 second span.
- The same did not happen though to Burnley's lone bright light on the afternoon, Dwight McNeil. Trevor's selection had a Thiago Lite performance in the Clarets midfield creating chances in bulk in the first half and nearly helping Burnley get back into the match after Everton's goal flurry. He ended on top score with a 7.6.
- Optimal picks for the day would have either been the above-referenced Townsend or Abdoulaye Doucoure who each put forth 8.2 rated performances as the Toffees reclaimed fourth position in the Premier League table.
