- There were five fixtures to choose from on the first half of the weekend. All five garnered at least one selection.
- Our final offering was the only game to get picks from each team. Unfortunately for Mike, Matt, and Ryan, Leicester/Everton produced the two lowest scores in the Challenge for the day. Mike got a 6.8 from the re-injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin in an Everton defeat. Matt and Ryan got a 6.9 (ni.ce) from Last Man In Marc Albrighton as Leicester won 2-0.
- Trevor had to have had high hopes for Leandro Trossard after assisting on Adam Lallana's opener for Brighton against Wolves. However, the lead bounced back and forth several times with the Belgian producing no further contributions offensively to end on a 7.0 rating.
- Erling Haaland came on to nab a late winner for 10-man Manchester City against Fulham. However, Joao Cancelo's red card and subsequent nonsense diminished the importance of Andrew's pick Julian Alvarez getting the Citizens' first. The Sky Blues' "other" summer striker signing netted on 16 minutes to earn our overall silver medalist a 7.1.
- But our joint top scorers of the day were Pavli and Scott with Brentford's Ben Mee and Leeds United's Rodrigo on 7.2's respectively. Leeds fought back from 3-1 down to beat Bournemouth by a score of 4-3 in the early kickoff. Scott's pick got that early one with a third minute penalty. Brentford saw a late own goal cause them to share the spoils with Forest, but the central defender was stellar otherwise.
- Optimally, Kevin De Bruyne pulled out his full catalog of Kevin De Bruyne hits with five key passes, six tackles, and general dribbling wizardry before drawing the 95th minute penalty that won it for his side. His 8.9 was his second straight match in Sofascore's dark green territory.
