- The penultimate weekend before the World Cup had some hotly contested matches that surely muddied the waters as we prepare for that aforementioned break.
- Liverpool's win over Spurs had plenty of talking points but thankfully for Reds supporters none of those came from the much maligned Joe Gomez. The Last Man In only got eight minutes of run in the 2-1 win yet pushed his backers Matt, Mike, and Ryan one-tenth of a point from the standard with a 6.6 rating.
- It was two vastly different Pick One experiences for the two Manchester United selections in their loss to Aston Villa. Scott's pick Marcus Rashford was stuck in red for the majority of the match and earned no love from the stat aggregators to finish on a 5.8. Pavli's luck continued to come through as Casemiro saw his rating go from the mid-6's to a team-high 7.1 after it was all said and done.
- The other team to see two unique selections was Newcastle against Southampton. Sven Botman saw an 89th consolation goal ruin his dreams of a clean sheet and a potential top score. Instead, Trevor was left with a 7.0 and thoughts of what could have been.
- What could have been was what Andrew got from Botman's teammate Miguel Almiron. A goal and two key tackles netted the Paraguayan dynamo a 7.5 before being cautiously taken off in the 81st minute of his side's 4-1 win.
- Optimally, Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey did everything he could to fill every column of the scoresheet against Manchester United. He assisted on Villa's opener, scored United's only goal with an own goal, put in Villa's final goal, and made six tackles to earn a 8.3 rating.
