SCOTT SERVIDIO- 279.6 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Randal Kolo Muani, FRA (6.6) / Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, DEN (7.0) / Henry Martin, MEX (7.5) / Alexis Mac Allister, ARG (8.2) After five days languishing in second position, Scott reclaimed the Pick One lead with a solid showing as Group C & D concluded. France's squad rotation put a lot of less tantalizing options in the Starting XI including Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani who couldn't get anything against a compact Tunisian defense. It was a disappointing tournament for Denmark to say the least, but at least Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg put in a decent shift on his way out. The late kickoffs gave Scott his biggest boost as both Mexico's Henry Martin and Argentina's Alexis Mac Allister scored in their nation's wins.
TREVOR UTLEY- 278.6 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Ibrahima Konate, FRA (8.0) / Andreas Christensen, DEN (7.4) / Edson Alvarez, MEX (6.8) / Enzo Fernandez, ARG (7.7) What a difference a day makes. Trevor went from second to last to second place with some solid defensive efforts and a midfield clinic in the afternoon. Konate and Christensen weren't able to keep clean sheets for France and Denmark respectively, but were easily the most influential men of those units regardless of the final score. Edson Alvarez was part of a Mexican midfield that was entirely too erratic but still did enough to supply the forward line. Everybody's new favorite transfer target Enzo Fernandez upped his price by assisting on his side's second against Poland.
ROBERT ALLEN- 278.1 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Kingsley Coman, FRA (6.8) / Aaron Mooy, AUS (6.8) / Saleh Al-Shehri, KSA (6.6) / Julian Alvarez, ARG (6.7) Tumbling from first to third was Robert but at least he finally broke his eight match drought of goals, assists, and/or clean sheets in the World Cup Pick One Challenge. He too got suckered in by a rotated French attacking option in Kingsley Coman. The Bayern man had one shot off target in 63 minutes. A pair of Asian representatives represented the middle portion of Robert's selection pool with little success. At least Aaron Mooy's Aussies got themselves through to the Round of 16. Julian Alvarez was the slumpbuster with Argentina's second goal off that aforementioned Fernandez helper against Poland, but that was pretty much his only contribution in his time on the pitch.
MARTIN DUNNING- 276.0 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Steve Mandanda, FRA (6.6) / Kasper Schmeichel, DEN (6.8) / Guillermo Ochoa, MEX (6.7) / Emiliano Martinez, ARG (6.8) The Goalkeepers Union approves of Martin's lineup for these group finales, but score-wise it left a lot to be desired. Mandanda and Schmeichel were expecting to keep clean sheets in the early matches but both men could not get that job done. It was nearly double zeroes on the scoreboard in the late fixtures but Saudi Arabia put a late one past Memo Ochoa to ruin that parade. Emiliano Martinez hasn't had many clean sheets to celebrate this season at Aston Villa, yet he would probably have more if teams put zero shots on target like Poland did against Argentina.
ANDREW SANFORD- 275.5 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Steve Mandanda, FRA (6.6) / Andreas Christensen, DEN (7.4) / Edson Alvarez, MEX (6.8) / Thiago Almada, ARG (6.9) There were no standout performances in Andrew's ranks for the day, but getting out of last place is getting out of last place. He selected a second French goalkeeper which is something incredibly rare in tournament play. Mexico will almost certainly reload their midfield under whatever manager replaces Tata Martino upon their exit from the tournament. Last Man In Thiago Almada was one of several Argentine substitutes that made the most of their run in the second half to see things out against an unambitious Poland side.
LENNY MALAGRINO- 275.0 TOTAL SCORE DAILY SELECTIONS: Ali Abdi, TUN (6.5) / Mitchell Duke, AUS (7.0) / Alexis Vega, MEX (6.5) / Lautaro Martinez, ARG (6.2) Lenny finds himself in the unenviable position of the financial relegation zone with a brutal close to Groups C & D. Ali Abdi was the Last Man In for Tunisia in their win over France. Mitchell Duke was great in what little hold up play Australia had in their win over Denmark. As stated with Edson Alvarez, Alexis Vega had not much in the way of direction in the Mexico midfield. Unlike Thiago Almada, Lenny's bench pick Lautaro Martinez was the only Argentinian to fall below the standard 6.5.
