- The Premier League returned after a period of mourning in the UK for the death of Queen Elizabeth II with a rare two match slate for Friday Night Football.
- Every team had representation between the two contests yet Fulham had the most taking over half (4 of 7) of the field's selections.
- Aston Villa were able to beat Southampton on the scoreboard by a score of 1-0. But in the Pick One, Trevor's selection James Ward-Prowse flipped the script on Andrew's pick Ollie Watkins by a margin of 7.1 to 6.8. Ward-Prowse has never scored below 7.0 in the Pick One Challenge while surprisingly Watkins has only eclipsed that mark once in two seasons.
- Matt continues to back his sheriffs of Nottingham but they continue to not have his. Morgan Gibbs-White only completed 48% of his passes at Forest's de facto #10 against Fulham and lost the ball more than half the time he possessed it. A 6.5 seems more than generous given those statistics and the fact that Forest were defeated.
- Three people made like an FPL guru and went with Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic against Nottingham Forest. Yet despite the juicy matchup and track record thus far in 2022, the Serbian was only able to get one shot on target in 89 minutes and did not assist on any of his side's three goals. Pavli, Ryan, and Scott had to settle for a 6.9 (ni.ce) rating for his efforts.
- But our top scorer did come from the Cottagers in the form of Mike's pick Willian. His third stint in London got off to a rocky start against Spurs, but the Brazilian rebounded quite well in 69 (nice) minutes against Forest. He assisted on the Fulham opener, completed 84% of his passes, and drew two fouls in dangerous positions to end on a 7.3 rating.
- Three different players would have netted you the optimal score of the day of 7.8. Aston Villa's Lucas Digne and Jacob Ramsey each got their flowers from a clean sheet and goal respectively. Nottingham Forest's Lewis O'Brien would have been much more of a punt as he got his from the substitutes bench with a goal and 93% passing.
