- Despite an eight game slate, only three contests were touched for the day's Pick One selections.
- It started off with both strikers being selected in the early fixture between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur. Seemingly this was a brilliant chance for Scott's selection, Harry Kane, to get off the mark for the season against a pedestrian Palace defense. Kane had scored in all three of England's World Cup qualifiers during the break. Alas, a second yellow card for Japhet Tanganga put Spurs in a bad spot and all service to Kane Station all but stopped landing the England striker with a 6.7 rating.
- On the other side of the pitch, Matt's pick of Christian Benteke couldn't seem to get out of first gear all match. The big Belgian didn't register a single shot on target netting him a 6.8 for the game and to make matters worse the person that replaced him in the 84th minute, recent addition Odsonne Edouard, scored twice to put the game to bed for the home side.
- The lone player selected from the 10 o'clock ET starts was Trevor's pick of Wolverhampton's Adama Traore. The downtrodden Wolves began to show offensive life for the first time all season against Watford and it was the pacey Spaniard who was leading that charge. He completed 10 of 11 significant dribbles up the left flank and won 13 of 17 ground duels. Although his crosses never ended up in the back of the net, his work rate was enough for a 7.5 morning.
- Finally came Chelsea versus Aston Villa in the final match of the day's schedule. Both Ryan and Andrew went with Romelu Lukaku and were not disappointed with the results. Our second Belgian striker of the day performed much better than the first scoring twice to doom the Villans with both being prototypical Lukaku goals. Those two goals came from his only shots on target. He completed all of his passes and even had two defensive statistic pings with two clearances and a blocked shot. Twas a banner day for the Belgian who justly earned top score with an 8.4 rating. On a sour note from the same match, Greg could not get Odsonne energy from Timo Werner with the Last Man In and only ended with a 6.5
- The optimal pick for the day would have been the aforementioned Odsonne Edouard whose two goals in under ten minutes on two shots makes him the highest substitute scorer of the year thus far with an 8.9.
