- There were three available matches for our participants with only Leicester City and Brentford's 2-2 stalemate failing to draw any interest.
- Otherwise it was a fairly bountiful day in the Pick One, that is of course unless you picked against Manchester City. Both of the day's West Ham selections went quite poorly. Matt's pick Jarrod Bowen was non-existent in the 2-0 loss getting just 25 touches in 89 minutes misplacing half of his just 10 passes. He was dribbled past on four separate occasions and never completed a pass more than six yards en route to a 5.9 rating.
- For the third consecutive day we had somebody dive into the substitutes pool. On this occasion it was Ryan with the Hammers' Said Benrahma. He may have completed all seven of his short passes, but that was where the positives stopped as he was routinely caught in the middle of a passing Bermuda triangle by the Citizens. He finished on a 6.5 after 33 arduous minutes.
- As for those City players, the worst that was done was a three-way tie at 7.3 between the pair of Kevin De Bruyne (Mike & Pavli) and Phil Foden (Trevor). KDB was off his game just ever so slightly looking as he never got out of second gear against the Hammers. In his defense, he didn't really need to as the holding players behind him cleaned up quite nicely and he still assisted on Erling Haaland's second goal of the afternoon. Foden was a bit more boisterous completing 67% of his long passes, but neither Haaland or Jack Grealish were able to put any of those balls home to keep him from pushing into the "dark green" portions of the rating system.
- Scott's pick Rodri was one of those deeper lying players that swept up anything positive that West Ham attempted. In addition to his defensive exploits, it didn't hurt matters that he completed 94% of his over 100 passes on the afternoon to earn a 7.4 rating.
- But our top scorer of the day was the lone outlier from our selection pool, Andrew with Brighton's Danny Welbeck. The former Manchester United striker terrorized the Red Devils' less than cohesive backline in a 2-1 win setting up Pascal Groß's second goal on the way to a 7.8 rating.
- Speaking of Pascal Groß, he was the day's optimal scorer with an 8.0 rating. He scored both of Brighton's goals against United with only some really sloppy second half passing (61%) pulling down his rating in the eyes of the aggregators.
